Ontario Premier Doug Ford has appointed Renfrew-Nipissing-Pembroke MPP Billy Denault as parliamentary assistant to the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Gaming.
Denault says he is “humbled and honoured” by the appointment.
“I look forward to assisting Minister Stan Cho in advancing our province’s plans to support key sectors of our economy during these uncertain times,” said Denault in a press release.
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Gaming works closely within the tourism industry to support businesses and attract international investment. It invests in festivals and events across the province and promotes the economy.
“We all know the Ottawa Valley has so much to offer – from its stunning natural beauty to its vibrant rural communities. I am proud to be part of a team that will advocate for and showcase what we have right here in our own backyard,” said Denault.
Parliamentary assistants support ministers both in the legislature and across the province, taking leadership on critical files.
