It seems like the Ottawa Valley simply cannot avoid being battered by snow this spring.
Environment Canada’s latest weather advisory says a swath of heavy snow will pass through the region starting as rain early Monday evening before turning to snow as temperatures fall overnight.
Anywhere from 5 to 10 centimetres of snow could fall tonight alongside strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 60 kilometres per hour, causing reduced visibility on local roads.
Meteorologists say commuters should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and are suggesting that anyone considering travelling tonight either adjust travel plans accordingly or postpone until conditions improve.
