
An individual is facing several charges following a traffic stop on Highway 17, near Calabogie Road on Wednesday, March 26.
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Renfrew Detachment spokesperson Brianna Babin reports that around 5:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop.
Babin says a 45-year-old Bonnechere Valley Township resident was arrested for six counts of failing to comply with a release order. A subsequent search resulted in an additional fail to comply charge, as well as a charge of possession of a schedule one substance for the purpose of trafficking.
The charges have not been proven in court.
The accused was held for bail.
