TODAY: The Local Immigration Partnership of Renfrew and Lanark Counties is welcoming newcomers to the Renfrew area to a Learning and Connections mentorship program, inside the Renfrew Public Library this Thursday at 5:30 pm. Drop in to get guidance on Navigating Service Canada services, how to network in your community and connect with potential employers, English as a second language support, guidance on community navigation and more!
TODAY: Turn your business idea into a thriving reality with YES Employment and Entrepreneurship, the Regional Association of West Quebecers, and the SADC Pontiac! They host a practical workshop for building your first business this Thursday from 6-8 pm at 349 Rue Main in Shawville. Topics will range from refining your vision and conducting market research to developing a solid plan with marketing and funding strategies. Register online.
TOMORROW: The Township of Horton presents its Old Time Country Square Dance this Friday evening at the Horton Community Centre. Live entertainment from Buck Fifty gets underway at 7:00 pm, plus a light lunch and 50/50 draw. $10 advance tickets available at Scott and Sons Hardware in Renfrew, or buy at the door for $12.
TOMORROW: Come out for the 15th Annual Leprechaun trivia night with your host and game masters, Lorraine and Scott, this Friday at 8:00 pm at the Cobden Fairgrounds. General trivia for all ages. Teams of 4 to 6 people, $15 dollars a person. This event is a fundraiser for the Cobden Curling Club to help cover the cost of a new ceiling. Renfrew Minor Baseball is taking registration ahead of the start to their season in May! Families are encouraged to register by March 31st to avoid late fees. Head to their website for more information.
