Renfrew’s Fire Department was called in after a carbon monoxide scare at a local daycare.
Fire Chief Mike Guest says crews were sent to Columbus House Daycare at around 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 20th, after a caller reported staff were feeling unwell and shared concerns that there was carbon monoxide in the building.
His team would perform a sweep of the facility with a multigas detector, determining that carbon monoxide levels were zero.
Despite that, the officer in charge requested that emergency services attend the scene to transport the unwell daycare staff to Renfrew Victoria Hospital for further assessment.
