St. Joseph's Catholic High School's Varsity Boys celebrate their win at the Upper Ottawa Valley High School Athletic Association's "Frozen Four" tournament in Renfrew
A Renfrew school is one win away from being crowned the best in Ontario.
The St. Joseph’s Catholic High School AA Boys Hockey team can complete an immaculate run through their season this afternoon at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations tournament in Sudbury.
The Jaguars have yet to lose since beginning their climb up the provincial ladder at the Upper Ottawa Valley “Frozen Four” tournament in late February and the Eastern Ontario regional championship in Kingston earlier this month.
After cruising through Fort Frances, East Northumberland, and Holy Trinity before an overtime thriller against Belle River in the group stage, St. Joes’ relied on a 5-goal effort from forward Kaden McGregor to carry them past St. Charles College in the semi-finals Thursday morning to set up their date with Sacred Heart High School today at 3:00 p.m.
The game will be live streamed online.
