The Ottawa Valley’s deep connection to Emerald Isle is expected to bring crowds to bars and restaurants across the region this Monday.
While the calendar may not be playing nice with this year’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, Brent Gould of Finnigan’s Roadhouse in Renfrew believes it shouldn’t affect what has always been a big night of business for him and his staff.
Gould says the most important part of the lead-up to the big day has been preparation, making sure everything is stocked and ready for action, from the kitchen to the bar and even the stage, for what Finnigan’s expects to be a capacity crowd eager to celebrate the community’s Irish roots.
It’s a unique day of the year that Gould gets to share with multiple generations, including young Ellie, who’s no stranger to helping out at the family business.
Finnigan’s kicked off their St. Patrick’s Day plans a little earlier than most, enjoying a pre-party featuring the talents of Colby Drummond on Saturday.
Looking ahead to Monday’s main event, The Ryan’s will open for a special guest to be announced. Guests can enjoy the evening for a $10 cover charge.
