There will be a new face at the helm of the hospitals in Renfrew and Barry’s Bay this spring.
Suzanne Madore has been named as the new president and chief executive officer (CEO) of Renfrew Victoria (RVH) and St. Francis Memorial hospitals.
In a memo to staff, provincially appointed hospital supervisor Altaf Stationwala said Madore comes to RVH with a distinguished career in healthcare, having devoted more than 30 years of “exemplary service” in various leadership roles at The Ottawa Hospital.
“Her extensive experience, coupled with her unwavering dedication to patient-centered care, positions her to guide our hospitals with expertise and compassion,” reads the memo.
Madore began her career as a registered nurse. Over the years, she has held a series of key leadership positions, including Clinical Director of the Regional Cancer Program, and Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Nursing Executive at The Ottawa Hospital.
“Throughout her career, Suzanne’s leadership has been marked by a commitment to excellence, collaboration, and a deep sense of responsibility to the communities she has served. Her contributions have been recognized by numerous awards and accolades,” reads the memo.
Madore will start her role at both hospitals on April 28.
“We are excited for the positive and lasting impact she will undoubtedly bring to both Renfrew Victoria Hospital and St. Francis Memorial Hospital,” reads the memo.
Former RVH CEO Julia Boudreau announced her retirement in December 2024 and Pierre Noel has been interim CEO.
