Prime minister-designate Mark Carney will be sworn in as Canada’s new Prime Minister today (Friday) at Rideau Hall.
Sources say his cabinet will be smaller, with 15 to 20 cabinet ministers.
Key players on the Canada-U.S. relations file, including Foreign Affairs Minister Mélanie Joly, Finance Minister Dominic LeBlanc and Innovation Minister François-Philippe Champagne, are expected to remain in cabinet.
The ceremony is scheduled for 11 a.m.
