
Members of the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a Bonnechere Valley Township man after a stolen vehicle was recovered in Eganville on March 1.
At approximately 9:00 a.m., police responded to a report of a shirtless man acting erratically on Bonnechere Street East. As officers were on their way, they received additional reports that the man had stolen a vehicle. By 9:30 a.m., police located the stolen vehicle at a local motel in Eganville and took the individual into custody.
58-year-old Darryl Puddicombe of Bonnechere Valley Township has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and driving while under suspension. The accused was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke on April 1.
