Haley Station’s firefighters have a new leader at the helm as they go through what has been a period of major change.
The Whitewater Region Fire Department has appointed Joel Brydges as the new captain for Station 1, with the Haley Station Fire Hall citing his extraordinary dedication over 18 years serving the community as the deciding factor in their process filling the role.
Whitewater Region Fire Chief Jonathon McLaren says they entered the year feeling positive about the direction of Station 1 in Haleys and that this promotion has further galvanized the team, telling people in the community to watch out for great things under his leadership.
Captain Brydges will be flanked by Acting Captain, Lieutenant Jon Malcom, and the recently promoted Lieutenant Shannon Spurrell.
