It’s been a hard-fought rivalry this current EOSL season between the Arnprior Rivermen, and the Pontiac Senior Comets of Fort Coulonge- and one that’s now going to a third and deciding game Friday night on home ice- but barely.
That’s Rivermen club owner Adrian Moyes, sharing the drama of late-game action around the net Monday in Fort Coulonge, with the Comets up 2-1 at the 19:30 mark of the third period in their barn.
Moyes says the victory wasn’t quickly secured in the OT.
Adrian says with the accent on divisional play this season in the Super League…
The Rivermen owner says the two Quebec clubs always send a large contingent to the Nick Smith Centre, and the only way to counteract that is to pack the stands for the home side.
Moyes says he was pleased with the home-ice crowd for the series opener; Rivermen fans outnumbered the visitors 3-1, but the Comets won the match, 9-5 last Friday.
The Arnprior Rivermen owner says the team will put it all out there, and he’d like to see a big home crowd reciprocate.
Friday’s game starts at 7:30PM.
