The Weather Network is showing Greater Madawaska Township a little Valentine’s Day love.
The growing municipality, and its wealth of unique and successful businesses, is being featured in video segments that will air on the channel on Friday, Feb. 14.
The township’s community development co-ordinator Jenna McEwan says she is thrilled to have worked with the Ottawa Valley Tourist Association and Destination Ontario for the project that saw a film crew travel from Toronto to visit various local businesses and hotspots in and around Calabogie.
McEwan said she worked to create an itinerary that saw these organizations visit as many local businesses as possible, learning about and enjoying the delicious local menus and many activities offered.
“This is super exciting!” said McEwan. “Tune in to the Weather Network tomorrow, Friday, Feb. 14, to catch our businesses being featured between 6 a.m. to 9 a.m., with segments repeated from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.”
Segments will run on the :03, :14, :33 and :44 minute mark each hour.
Among the featured businesses are: Somewhere Inn, Mad River Paddle Co., Calabogie Motorsports Park, Calabogie Peaks, Tom Irwin Adventure Tours, Redneck Bistro, Powersports Garage, and Calabogie Brewing Company.
And, if you miss the spots, the township will have them posted on their social media after airing.
