In its most recent report, Renfrew County Real Estate Board (RCREB) officials say MLS home sales totaled 1,518 units over the course of 2024, a moderate gain of 9.8% from 2023.
The annual average price was $470,986, a gain of 6.4% from all of 2023.
RCREB says 63 homes were sold in December, an increase of 28.6 % from last year.
MLS home sales were 23.2% below the five-year average and 19.5% below the 10-year average for the month of December.
The average price of homes sold in December 2024 was $416,757, increasing by 1.1% from December 2023.
The dollar value of all home sales in December 2024 was $26.3 million, up sharply by 30% from the same month in 2023.
The number of new listings saw an increase of 8.8% (five listings) from December 2023. There were 62 new residential listings in December 2024.
Active residential listings numbered 392 units on the market at the end of December, advancing 32.9% from the end of December 2023. Officials say active listings haven’t been this high in the month of December in five years.
