The Arnprior Optimist Club Winter Carnival begins this weekend.
Spokesperson Chris Toner tells us the event has grown over time, and now occupies two weeks of calendar space in the year’s first month.
A couple of fun events follow on the Saturday. The Optimist Club spokesperson says the seating for Saturday’s free movie at the O’Brien Theatre is more comfortable than it has ever been. While it’s not brand new, it was acquired from the former Algonquin Cinemas in Pembroke.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, its a free bowling opportunity that comes with your carnival button.
Chris Toner knows Youth may revel in the sport of Curling, and Tuesday of next week you have a chance to validate his theory.
The Optimist Club spokesperson says the treasured Carnival buttons are you entrance ticket for most all Carnival events, and are available at each function, get them from club members- or pick one up at the Nick Smith Centre, for only $2.00.
The Arnprior Optimist Winter Carnival runs until January 18th.
