Two projects closely linked to Renfrew’s economic growth and development will be available to the public on Wednesday.
Town officials invite residents, stakeholders, and the local Indigenous community to the myFM Centre from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on November 20th to review and comment on the upcoming closure of Whitton Road at O’Brien Road.
The project is part of the broader effort to prepare for the westbound expansion of Highway 417 towards Renfrew, which will require removing the nearby Whitton Road intersection to ensure the new highway’s new offramps will have enough space to safely guide traffic into and out of town.
The night will also look at a proposed assessment study that would mark the beginning of a plan to re-zone around 250 of acres of industrial land to allow for long-term commercial and residential development on the east-end of town.
