Spooky season is officially over, and now it’s time to get into the festive spirit.
Communities are ditching witch’s brews for mulled apple cider as preparations are already underway for Santa Claus Parades across the Ottawa Valley, including the one that will take off from Baskin Drive towards John Street in Arnprior on November 23rd.
Parade watchers are encouraged to bring non-perishable food as volunteers will be taking donations, and members of the post office will be collecting your letters to Santa along the route. People interested in submitting their own floats should email the parade planning committee as soon as possible.
The Town of Renfrew will not be too far behind, as they make the trip from St. Joseph’s High School towards the Royal Canadian Legion Hall at the corner of Raglan Street and Munroe Avenue on December 7th. Families will even get the chance to take pictures with Santa at the Legion following the parade.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to get in touch with the town to enter their own floats, and sponsorship opportunities are also available.
