Renfrew Victoria Hospital must be thrilled to finally see a significant result from their 2024 run of Catch the Ace lotteries.
RVH Foundation Executive Director Patti Dillabough was able to make the call when Cairine Bruce of Douglas had her ticket picked during the Week 19 draw on Thursday night, ending a streak of early jackpot wins that plagued the lottery for most of the year.
Bruce made a visit to RVH over the weekend to pick up her $49,414 jackpot, while the hospital gets to walk away with $70,315 that Dillabough explains will go directly into the Equip RVH campaign that’s keeping high-quality care close to home.
She also took time to show appreciation for the people and organizations that have shown continued support for Catch the Ace, which is arguably their most popular fundraiser each year.
Dillabough says Catch the Ace fans should stay tuned for more updates on the next edition of the lottery, which are expected soon.
