It couldn’t have happened to a better guy.
That’s the unanimous consensus among friends and family of Renfrew’s David Forrest, the happy winner of a $333,333.40 OLG Maxmillions prize.
David was at home with wife Jane, just sitting down with his morning coffee on Wednesday when he decided to check his luck.
David, a school bus driver and former 19-year Walmart employee, has been receiving plenty of well wishes and congratulations. He bought the ticket at Circle K Monday night and is a regular player.
He and Jane are thrilled with the win and are still getting used to the idea of this extra cash coming in.
Something David noted was a recent incident that just might have contributed to his win.
Monday, he found a wallet on the street, checked the name and address and returned it to the owner with a note. Soon came a call from the grateful gentleman, the owner of a local food business, who offered free steaks as a thank you.
On Wednesday, David dropped by to see the wallet owner, who again offered the gift.
