Renfrew’s gardeners are being told to get ahead of the game by securing a plot in the town’s community gardens.
Town staff say the plots inside Oddfellows Park are completely reserved for this year, but experienced and novice gardeners can find support and camaraderie and grow their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers next year with just an email or phone call.
They call the community gardens a sustainable way to enjoy fresh produce for residents and groups like the Renfrew and District Food Bank, who use 29 of the 63 plots to provide for those battling food insecurity.
