The town of Renfrew has had to make a few difficult decisions about aging playgrounds.
Due to safety concerns, the smaller play structure at Horton Heights Park on Erindale Avenue and the larger structure at Knights of Columbus Park on Sixth Street will be removed over the course of July 22nd and 23rd.
Other playground equipment at both parks will remain untouched.
There are no immediate plans to replace the older structures, but new ones will be considered during planning and budget talks.
