Norma Moore’s Garden Showing for Ukraine defied an adverse weather forecast Saturday and raised almost ten thousand dollars Saturday in rural Braeside.
The Moores had planned the event since their winter sojourn in Florida, and proceeds from the day were shared between Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal- an East European parallel of Doctors Without Borders, and the Canada Ukraine Foundation.
Norma says those attending were impressed with the garden’s fragrant display and the planned aesthetics
She says the total raised Saturday didn’t quite hit the ten thousand dollar mark.
When myFM chatted with Norma Sunday morning, there was still the possibility of an additional display later that afternoon.
Sunday’s weather wasn’t as kind- and people can still donate via the QR code associated with our story.
Norma expresses her gratitude to all who attended, and gives a shout out to her stellar team.
