The owners of the former Whitewater Rafting Company site have a long-term goal for getaways in the Ottawa Valley.
Pierre Mirault, general manager of what’s now the Whitewater Cottage & RV Resort in Foresters Falls, says they’re invested in a 5-to-10-year plan to develop the property into a fully-fledged park-model destination.
Part of that long-term plan is to help shed the site of the former brand associated with it for their own, as Summerhill Resorts, the current owner, is in their third year of developing the once abandoned property to their standard.
He says that now is a perfect time to consider joining their cottage community as they develop and grow.
The resort also works with the nearby Wilderness Tours to offer rafting adventures, among other community-driven amenities.
Mirault notes that the chance to relax along a waterfront like the Ottawa River is becoming a rare opportunity that is drawing attention from all over Southern Ontario.
Rental and ownership options for their cottages, park-model homes, and RV suites are available through Airbnb and their own booking system as the resort kicks off its six-month summer season.
