McNab-Braeside Township officials are again appealing to the public after a blatant instance of vandalism at the municipality’s ball field at White Lake Park Tuesday afternoon.
The incident comes after a string of concerning recent cases of damage to various township parks.
In this incident, a vehicle of some sort was used on the field to make donuts/circles and deep ridges on the diamond, rendering it unusable for the evening’s scheduled minor ball activities.
Officials say the act of vandalism occurred between 2:30 and 5 p.m.
“Our staff had just prepared the diamond for minor ball this evening; the diamond was not useable because of this act!” reads a social media post. “Last year money and considerable staff time and effort was invested into this diamond.”
Officials say these acts are malicious and they’d like to hear from anyone with information on the incidents.
The township contact is Andrea at andrea@mcnabbraeside.com or 613-623-5756 ext. 226.
Incidents can also be reported to Pembroke/Renfrew County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or submit a tip online.
