Members of the Killaloe Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) launched investigations on April 10, 2024, into separate breach of conditions incidents in the townships of Killaloe Hagarty and Richards, as well as Madawaska Valley.
In Killaloe Hagarty and Richards, authorities responded to a call for service regarding a breach of conditions. Subsequently, a 59-year-old resident of Killaloe was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with two counts of domestic breach of conditions. The individual, whose identity has been withheld to safeguard the victim’s anonymity, was released on conditions and is slated to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
Simultaneously, in Madawaska Valley, members of the OPP initiated an investigation into another breach of conditions incident. This led to the arrest and charging of a 44-year-old individual from Madawaska Valley with domestic breach of conditions. The accused remains in custody pending a bail court hearing. Similarly, the identity of the accused has been withheld to protect the victim’s identity.
The OPP reaffirms its commitment to addressing breaches of conditions swiftly and effectively, prioritizing the safety and well-being of individuals within the community.
