There is an ongoing police operation in the Francis Street and George Avenue area of Renfrew.
There is believed to be no threat to public safety, said Bill Dickson, media relations co-ordinator for OPP East Region.
“But people should avoid the area to allow police to carry on,” Dickson wrote in an email exchange.
More details will be provided later, he said.
