If you’re looking for something to do this weekend to get out and celebrate Easter, you have choices! There are plenty of events on offer in the area for fun seekers.
Arnprior’s second annual Easter Egg Hunt runs March 29 and 30. Pick up a basket from Johnies Vintage and join in the fun. Eggs will be hidden all over the downtown businesses (inside and out). Activities include photo booths, an Easter Bunny sighting, face painter, glitter tattoos and more.
Also in Arnprior, the Easter Bunny, with support from the Arnprior Optimist-ic Women’s Club and the town, will be making the rounds to various parks. Arnprior Life will find and share the locations at 7 a.m. on Saturday, March 30 so eager egg hunters can begin the search.
Head to Scott and Son’s Hardware in Renfrew on Saturday, March 30 for an Easter Bake Sale fundraiser for CARE animal rescue. The sale runs from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
There’s an Easter Egg Hunt being held on Saturday, March 30 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Horton Community Centre. Tickets, on sale now at the township office, are $5 per child, which covers the hunt and a hot dog lunch.
The Cobden Recreation Association is hosting an egg hunt at Caressant Care at 11 a.m. followed by an Easter Visit with Elsa, Spiderman and the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 30, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. upstairs at the Cobden Legion. Hot dogs will be served.
On Saturday, March 30, join the Valley Easter Bunny at the Shaw Woods Outdoor Education Centre for an Easter event that includes an egg hunt, storybook walk and children’s activities. The free event runs from 1-3 p.m. and is sponsored by the North Algona Wilberforce Recreation Committee.
MONDAY
On Easter Monday (April 1), the Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hub is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for youth ages 12-17 from 2-3 p.m. at its new Renfrew Hub at the myFM Centre. To register call 613-570-8953 or email renfrewcountyywho@gmail.com
