Renfrew’s International Man of Mystery was at “a loss for words” following a successful Spring Fling this past weekend.
Merv Warren was dressed to the nines in the crushed purple velvets of Austin Powers for his Spring Fling at the Wing, which lived up to the hype it garnered on social media over the past month.
Locals packed the Renfrew Wing to enjoy a night of snacks, prizes, and music featuring the Kyle Felhaver band in support of the Renfrew and District Food Bank on Saturday night, raising over $1,000 and tables full of non-perishable food to keep local pantries stocked.
The night also reportedly saw a 50/50 draw raise another $580 for the Renfrew Wing.
Merv would take to social media following the event, thanking everyone who helped put everything together over the past month after an idle comment on Facebook about a potential party quickly gained traction with the community, with hundreds of people committing to making it to the evening.
