The passing of former Recreation Director Glenn Arthur, a.k.a. “Mr. Arnprior” was also noted Tuesday at Mississippi Mills Council.
Pakenham Ward Councillor Denzil Ferguson observed Arthur was a former Recreation Director for the Town of Almonte.
And Deputy Mayor Rickey Minnelli, also 72, noted he and Glenn attended high school in the community together.
Born in Almonte in 1951, Glenn Arthur served as Recreation Director in our neighbouring municipality from 1974 through 1978.
He took a similar position in Red Rock from 1978 though 1982 before commencing his 36 year tenure in the position locally.

Visitation at the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel on Saturday afternoon, February 24th from 1 to 5PM.
An on-ice tribute will take place Sunday (February 25th) at Noon at the NSC’s Glenn Arthur Arena, with a reception to follow at the adjacent Community Hall.
Spring internment at the Rosebank Cemetery, Admaston-Bromley.
