Doctor Emily Curley
Renfrew Victoria Hospital is continuing to reap the benefits of its recruitment efforts.
The hospital is welcoming two new internal medicine physicians, Doctors Emily Curley and Kordan Harvey, who also practice at The Ottawa Hospital.
Both doctors will be on-site at RVH and available to the Emergency Department and inpatient units for consultation for one week each month.
Their specialty focuses on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of conditions affecting the internal organs of adults.
Fellow Doctor Corey Nixon calls them a “very welcome addition to the family of physicians at RVH,” adding that their presence “greatly improves our community’s access to exceptional knowledge of complex and rare diseases.”
Meanwhile, physician and hospitalist Doctor Candice Cybulskie, says the two are great additions to expand “on the excellent care that Doctor Shanti Nemani has provided” for over 12 years.
She adds that “having access to internal medicine can sometimes prevent the need for an admission, as they can see the patient in consultation in the ER, order investigations, and then follow up as an outpatient.”
RVH President & CEO Julia Boudreau says “offering these services close to home will be very beneficial to our physicians, staff, patients, and our community.”
