Summer Company is looking for budding entrepreneurs interested in operating a seasonal business in 2024.
The Summer Company program is operated by Enterprise Renfrew County (on behalf of the Province of Ontario), and is open to students ages 15-29 who are returning to school in the Fall.
The initiative empowers participants to become their own boss and guides them in grasping the intricacies of entrepreneurship.
It does so through a process of business training and mentorship.
Successful applicants get a 1500 dollar grant to start up their summer business and 1500 dollars when it wraps up.
There are a wealth of possible occupations or services you can offer through your summer business, including artisanal items, graphic art production, baked goods, lawn care, dog grooming, auto detailing, small engine repair, dog grooming, esthetics, and firewood processing just to name a few.
Many Summer Company entrepreneurs continue to run their businesses throughout the year or over consecutive summers.
Don’t put off your application just because the weather is cold. Summer Company is a highly sought initiative, so get your application in early.
Deadline is midnight on May 15, 2024.
