Riverview Rescue based out of the Ottawa Valley has seen an astounding number of owner surrender requests since Christmas.
The team cannot accept these surrenders due to the lack of foster homes they have available. Amelia Hone, Foster Coordinator at Riverview Rescue explains why they are asking people to become future foster homes.
Riverview Rescue alone has received over 72 surrender requests in the last couple of weeks. Hone tells myFM news how accommodating they are with finding the right home for each and every animal.
Hone stresses how important it is to find more people who can become foster homes and or adopt.
They are asking people interested in foster care or adoption to reach out to them to get the application started. You can visit their website at www.riverviewrescues.ca.
