If you are concerned the Provincial Government may revoke existing Ministerial Zoning Orders in McNab-Braeside and jeopardize proposed industrial jobs, you have two weeks to get your comments to Queen’s Park.
A December 13th 2023 release from the current Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Paul Calandra suggests a Ministerial Zoning Order (MZO) speeding the process may have to be revisited.
Andrea Reyers, one of the proponents already established locally, says they only received notice of this last week.
Reyers says post-COVID supply chain issues have complicated the situation.
She says a survey has been completed, a severance granted; there have been soil tests, and noise geology undertaken.
Reyers says she has no reason to doubt that current Township Council will be anything other than supportive of the initiative.
Her company, established locally for 16 years, has been joined by Wolf Industries, who now have an office at 664 Campbell Drive in the Township.
Andrea Reyers encourages members of the public to weigh in with their comments by visiting the Ontario Environmental Registry and searching for McNab-Braeside O. Reg. 537/21 and McNab-Braeside O. Reg. 538/21
