
The Town of Renfrew will be closing down a few streets in anticipation of Santa’s trip through downtown during Saturday’s parade.
Railway Avenue will be shut off between Plaunt Street South and Raglan Street from 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and Raglan Street South between Barr Street and Munroe Avenue will similarly close from 5:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Residents will also notice barricades set up at some intersections in order to restrict access along the parade route between 5:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., including:
- Intersection of Veterans Memorial, Hall, and Raglan streets
- Opeongo Road
- Prince Ave. E. (Manitou Bistro)
- Renfrew Ave. W. (Canada Post across the street)
- Renfrew Ave. E. (Scotiabank)
- Railway Ave. (Library)—one at Plaunt Street, one at Raglan Street South.
- Patrick Ave. (Kentucky Fried Chicken)
Renfrew’s Santa Claus Parade gets underway at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 2nd, with floats taking off from the Armouries Building on Veteran’s Memorial Boulevard towards Raglan Street South before finishing at the corner of Munroe Avenue.
