Did you know that discovering more about your family tree is as simple as a stop at the local library?
The Renfrew Public Library is touting a free service through Ancestry.com, which Collections Coordinator Emily Krosse says is helping residents with ties to the early days of Renfrew and the surrounding area map a more complete family tree.
She says it’s something available only at their location across from Town Hall.
The program has even proven to be a useful tie-in to the library’s historical collections, offering residents of Renfrew and Horton a never-before-seen glimpse at their lineage.
Krosse says making use of the free service begins by getting your library card.
More information on this and other programming found at the Renfrew Public Library can be found by calling their main desk at (613) 432-8151 or by looking through their current program guide on their website.
