You might notice a new addition to the front entrance of the Rocky Mountain House during your next visit.
Both their Raglan Street location in Renfrew and their John Street location in Arnprior now feature a board of prepaid meals that customers without the means to dine-in can take from judgment-free.
Restaurant manager Lindsay Stevens explains that making use of the board is as simple as letting a staff member know.
The idea was inspired by a fellow restaurateur in the Ottawa Valley, as more locally owned and operated businesses have begun to offer similar services.
Stevens adds that the Rocky Mountain House has already seen people both contribute to and use the meal boards, calling the response from the community “wonderful.”
She says that the Rocky Mountain House appreciates everyone who has taken the time to donate a meal in the short time they have had the boards up.
