The Town of Renfrew is launching a Community Support, Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Initiatives Project.
As part of the initiative, a three-year strategic plan will be created to guide the town and create awareness around anti-racism, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
The endeavor will also include staff training, community programs and an art project.
The Town’s Community Services Department, in partnership with Kate Monahan from The Quiet Guiding Company and Becky Wright from Milestone Consulting will put the piece together, consistent with Renfrew’s commitment to demonstrate it is a safe, welcoming and accepting community for all.
Residents are invited to take part in focus group sessions taking place on Thursday, November 16th, at the Renfrew Visitor Information Centre, 190 Mask Road.
The first is slated from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m., and the second session will run from 5:00 to 6: 30 p.m.
Please register online in advance with a link available on the Town of Renfrew website.
The Town of Renfrew is grateful for grant funding received through Heritage Canada for this work.
