One of downtown Renfrew’s most visible vacancies could be filled sooner rather than later.
48 Raglan Street South, the former site for Renfrew’s Giant Tiger, is on the market for the asking price of $675,000, according to the listing’s broker, Kwesi Bourne of Synercapital Investment Realty.
He tells myFM that the recently renovated commercial space has flexible zoning, making it a great fit for most types of businesses, including retail space, assembly hall, medical clinic, custom woodworking, restaurant, office, veterinarian clinic, tavern, or a financial institution, just to name a few.
The building features 13,346 square feet of space between the main floor and basement, as well as a freight elevator, laundry with washer and dryer, and a full kitchen in the basement.
Bourne says the current owner is a local landlord who has been busy fixing up the storefront ahead of a possible sale.
Bourne says most of the attention so far has been from out-of-town businesses looking to move into Renfrew, but it wouldn’t surprise him if a local interest jumped in to offer the current owner something too good to pass up.
With the many features that the old Giant Tiger has to offer, we asked Bourne if there was a type of business that would both fit the location and fill a void in the downtown core.
Bourne adds that leasing options are also available for the site, and anyone interested in learning more can see the full listing here.
