Last week (October 30th), Luke Cyr was able to make a $10-thousand donation to the Robbie Dean Counselling Centre.
Earlier this year, Cyr created the Luke Cyr Foundation to support two organizations he credits with saving his life.
Cyr, a Canadian Armed Forces veteran, credits the Centre as helping save his life while fighting PTSD.
While suffering from PTSD, he began writing poems, eventually starting a website and his Foundation.
Since opening it’s doors in 2013, the Robbie Dean Counselling Centre has developed and implemented programs that have helped to close the existing mental health service gaps in Renfrew County with locations in Pembroke and Renfrew.
