The Arnprior Curling Club has approximately 200 members at the moment, and has ambitious plans to double its numbers in the future.
The club is a healthy mix of veteran resident curlers and newbies both new to the sport, and new to the town.
One such is Richard Steele. (He and his spouse retired to the community, joined the Arnprior Curling Club last season- and Steele has already been pressed into the publicity role).
The Arnprior Curling spokesperson says in essence the club is looking for more people like him.
Steele encourages anyone interested to visit the club at 15 Galvin Street on Wednesday September 20th from 7 to 9PM.
The Arnprior Curling spokesperson says a particular special recruitment effort is being made to attract the younger crowd.
Steele says the more ice availability is utilized, the healthier Arnprior Curling becomes.
The Arnprior Curling spokesperson says there are a dozen bursaries for children and youth- and a curling membership makes a great Christmas gift.
