A former pro player in his home country of Poland, Marek Kopiowski is now looking to build something new for young athletes right here in Renfrew.
A few years prior to move with his wife to her hometown of Renfrew, Marek would have a chance encounter with local basketball coach Adam Noack.
They would end up discussing the opportunity to build a prep program for high school athletes to develop the athletic and academic skills they would need as they prepare for the collegiate level of play in the NCAA and USports.
Offering a rural alternative to programs offered in urban areas, Renfrew Prep Basketball is welcoming in players from the Ottawa Valley to as far out as Alberta and Saskatchewan to train and practice before and after attending classes in town over the course of the school year.
