All things are lined up for an unforgettable weekend at the Renfrew Fair, September 7th through the 10th.
Tammy-Lyn Ferguson, who has taken over as the fair’s general manager this year, is excited to be able to bring back a few attractions for the first time in years, including one happening on the very first night.
Ferguson says the Renfrew Fair also welcomes back the OPP Golden Helmets Motorcycle Brigade for a demonstration on Friday evening.
While there will be plenty of music and entertainment to enjoy, Ferguson does not want the four-day event’s agricultural roots to go ignored.
Tammy-Lyn Ferguson says emphasizing its heritage is vital to supporting local farmers and producers.
There will be plenty of shows and sales for beef, pigs, lambs, and horses, with many of the prize-winning animals making their way to bigger competitions down the line.
If you have some time over the weekend and want to make the Renfrew Fair bigger and better than ever before, why not give volunteering a try?
Ferguson says that they’re still looking for help with everything from the parking lot to the armories building and more.
If you’re interested, you can send them an email at contact@RenfrewFair.com or call them at 613-432-5331. They also have an online form you can fill out on their website.
Even as a spectator, there will still be plenty to enjoy over the four days including a midway from Robertson Amusements, live music, the famous demolition derby, and more.
