Low Square will fly its flags at half-mast in tribute to a former Town Councilor.
Gail Cole, who served on Renfrew’s Council from 2003 to 2014, passed away on Friday, July 21st, at the age of 83.
Her obituary describes her as “a solver of problems and was a friend to many,” as she enjoyed a career in government before being elected to Council in her retirement.
A statement from the Town calls Gail a “strong community supporter,” adding that flags at Town Hall and other municipal buildings will stay lowered until the day after her memorial service on Wednesday, July 26th, at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church.
The Zohr Family Funeral Home will handle her final care, with tributes, condolences, and donations accepted through their website.
The Cole Family asks that you consider making a donation to the Renfrew and District Food Bank in her memory.
