Local police continue to investigate after a fatal late-night shooting on Vimy Boulevard in Renfrew.
Officers responded to a call from a home in the area shortly before 10:30 in the evening on Friday, May 19th, where they found a victim who had suffered gunshot wounds.
They were transported to the hospital and would later be declared dead.
Renfrew OPP say the investigation is still in its early stages, but they believe the victim was targeted and that this is an isolated incident.
The suspect fled the scene before police arrived and remains at large as of Saturday morning.
In the meantime, police say to be aware of your personal safety at all times and to make sure your doors and windows are locked.
