Questions regarding the future of the Renfrew County Virtual Triage and Assessment Centre will become more clear this week. The provincial budget will come down on Thursday and all of Renfrew County is hopeful that funding for VTAC will be there. Chief Paramedic Mike Nolan tells us that the service has grown much more than it was made to do.
The County of Renfrew has forked out $100,000 to keep it running until the end of April and with any luck, Nolan tells us that he hopes the province will see RCVTAC as much more than an assessment centre.
Finally, the Chief Paramedic for the County tells us that no only does he want to see the funding continue, he also wants it to expand.
