In celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, the Local Immigration Partnership of Lanark and Renfrew Counties is teaming with two other similar groups, Simcoe County and Grey-Bruce LIPs to present a virtual workshop on Allyship.
The event is coming up on Tuesday March 21st from Noon to 1:30PM.
Jodi Bucholtz says the discussion is under a metaphoric big welcoming tent.
Expert panelists will discuss what it means to be an ally and provide guidance on how to address racism in different environments.
The discussion will be moderated by employees from Georgian and Algonquin College.
The panel includes experts in diversity, equity and inclusion, community building, advocacy and change-making.
