The Northcote Community Centre is ringing in the Family Day long weekend with Family Fun day on Saturday, February 18th.
Kristin Smart, a member of the Community Centre’s board, tells myFM the Fun Day has been a tradition for as long as she can remember.
Get the day started right with a homemade breakfast from 8:00am to 11:00am, with their skating rink open all day for your to enjoy as well.
Smart says the money raised each year keeps the Community Centre running for everyone to enjoy.
Smart tells us they’re also looking to add to their annual list of events, and to keep an eye on their social media for more.
Lunch and dinner will also be available throughout the day as the games get underway at 2:00pm. Kids activities will happen outdoors, and with euchre and other fun for the adults happening indoors.
Then starting at 7:30pm, a live auction will take place inside the Community Centre for lots including a 2 hour reservation for the indoor golf simulator at the Renfrew Golf Club, a one night stay at the Lochiel Street Bed and Breakfast in Renfrew, and a pair of 300 level tickets to see the Toronto Maple Leafs host the Columbus Blue Jackets in Toronto on April 4th.
Right afterwards, the Fun Day draw winners will be chosen, with a grand prize of $450 in local gift cards. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5 and can be purchased Saturday at Northcote Community Centre, by calling Sara at 613-433-4956.
