A spree of liquor store thefts across the Ottawa Valley has seen an abrupt end thanks to police.
The OPP East Region’s Community Street Crime Unit have made an arrest in an investigation dating back to December after receiving security footage of a man entering a several stores, filling bags with bottles of high-end liquor, then attempting to leave the store without paying.
33-year-old Alexandre Lalonde of Ottawa faces seven counts of theft under $5,000 in connection to incidents in Renfrew, Arnprior, Kemptville, Casselman, Winchester, Rockland, and Hawkesbury.
Lalonde has been held for a bail hearing.
