A collection of personal hygiene products gathered by one class at St. Joseph's in Arnprior in support of Teachers Against Poverty
Many students in the Ottawa Valley have been spreading holiday cheer, including those from Catholic Schools in Arnprior and Calabogie.
The Renfrew County Catholic District School Board has sent a special thanks to Mrs. Smith’s class at St. Joseph’s in Arnprior, who held a drive to collect toiletries earlier this month and spent time leading to the holiday break preparing care packages for local families in need.
Mrs. Lynch’s Grade 4 class also pitched in, collecting money for Teachers Against Poverty during this year’s Advent.
Meanwhile, the students at St. Joseph’s in Calabogie held their Christmas Concert and a fundraiser raffle for their Outdoor Education Fund last week, with a number of prizes from local businesses and community members going out to the winners.
The RCCDSB wishes everybody a happy new year and hopes everyone gets the chance to recharge during the holiday break.
