The OPP is warning residents about a fraud incident in Renfrew County involving the sale of firewood on Facebook.
Officers say the suspect requested a deposit by e-transfer and once the deposit was made, the firewood was not delivered and the buyer was unable to contact the seller.
Police have arrested and charged 47-year-old Cory Baptiste of North-Algona-Wilberforce with 11 counts of fraud under $5,000 and 11 counts of obtaining by false pretense.
The accused remains in custody.
